We got a bit wet yesterday on the log ride!! We were all drenched, I actually took my shoes off to wring out my socks. We dried off afterwards with a few laps on the vintage cars. Jim helped to re-start one of the cars for the attendant – they are a pull start motor like a lawn mower. It was so quiet down at the cars that to have another ride we had to hop out of the cars and walk to the front.
Breakfast at Ikea, followed by a fun filled day at Dreamworld with friends. Can’t get much better than that!
On Friday the girls caught up with their friend Oskar in a very exciting park in Ashgrove. It’s called the Enchanted Forest and has loads of stuff to climb and explore – and some magical musical mushrooms! After the park we headed to a cafe for some chocolate milk (and caffeine for the grown ups!) before ducking into the shops on the way home.
On the weekend Sarah and Becky went to Daniel’s house to help him celebrate his 2nd birthday! There was painting & playdough and a giant Birthday Cookie! I have to say, Daniel’s mum Belinda is truly the master when it comes to playdough. Normally I hate the stuff – the texture, the smell… barf. But this batch was great! Perfectly smooth and scented like peppermint lollies. Happy Birthday Daniel! :)
Becky has been so excited about Sarah’s new bike that we decided to get her some wheels too. Love a good eBay bargain!! And Becky’s pretty impressed with it too. She can’t quite push the peddles around herself yet, but she’s getting the idea – and she doesn’t mind a helping hand on the handle at the back either.
Sarah got to celebrate her birthday AGAIN today with a special treat for afternoon tea at PrePrep. Becky and I made star cakes for Sarah and her friends. We also shared them with Helen and the ladies in the office.
Today we celebrated Sarah’s 4th birthday with a pool party! Instead of a lolly bag all the party guests received a pool noodle to kick off the fun. After a swim it was time for Sarah’s Rocket Ship Cake and fruit for afternoon tea – Sarah was very excited about the cake. She told the girls at the pool that she’d made it herself ;) Thank you to all Sarah’s little friends from coming along to share her day, we had loads of fun! And thank you too for all the great loot! She’s a very, very lucky girl.
