It’s Pirate Week at Kindy – today they made pirate hats and followed a map to dig up buried treasure in the sandpit!! Sarah found a silver rock! When we got home and went into the garden to take a picture Sarah insisted that Becky try the hat on first. Becky was pretty non-plussed about the hat…
More snacks :)
I took this picture (or rather pictures) at the markets just before we left for Sydney. It was orignally two photos with one girl smiling in each. Andrew cut the photos up and stitched them back together again to make this lovely photo of Sarah and Becky snacking on apples :)
Yummy Doughnuts!
The girls enjoying the jam doughnut treats that their Great-Uncle Puty brought over. Yummy yummy!
“No Mummy. It’s a Cole Day!”
Uh oh… the beginning of the end. Last night, on the way home from the airport, we stopped in to visit Cole at work. After lots of excited hugs and a turn at work experience behind the counter Cole promised Sarah that she’d come over tomorrow to visit.
And Sarah remembered! I was helping her dress this morning and was asking what she wanted to do today. “How about we go to the playground?” “No Mummy” she replied “It’s a Cole Day!”
Sarah and Becky’s Sydney Adventures
And we’re home again :) The girls had one heck of a trip! All the photos are up on our family’s main news page, but here are the links:
Come fly with me!
Their bags are (almost!) packed, those little social butterflies are off on another adventure tomorrow – a plane ride to SYDNEY! It’s been a packed month. First there was Sarah Kate’s birthday, then Bill & Debbie’s engagement party, then Aunty Cass & Uncle Dave’s wedding and this week is another wedding, a baptisim and a PhD graduation!
Both Sarah and Becky have been on a plane a few times before so hopefully that part of the journey will go smoothly. ‘Donafon’ is meeting us at the other end :)
See you when we get back!

To market, to market…
Family trip to the markets this afternoon, with Nanna, Grandad & Cole! And don’t be fooled by the look on Becky’s face – she was having a ball being carried upside down. In fact that’s the only position she WOULD let us carry her in!! Sarah found the markets really exciting and was so proud to be given the job of trolley-puller. She was pretty good at it too! It was her idea to stuff Ike down her shirt, apparently it’s not ok for him to ride in the back with the pineapple.
