Becky has officially fallen off the bottom of the growth charts. She’s not even making the bottom 3%! She was weighed at the doctors yesterday, and even in clothes, a cloth nappy and shoes she still couldn’t crack the 8kg mark (7990g) which makes her the size of an average 7.5 month old baby. I guess that’s why it looks so funny when she’s up on her feet :)

Announcing the arrival of Becky’s 7th tooth – the first time that she’s ever had one come though on it’s own. The first six all came through in pairs. This one’s on the bottom to the left.
Not the greatest demo of Becky’s new found skills, but it has a great cameo from her sister!!
I’m torn between being intensely proud of my little baby’s tottering sumo-style shuffle and being sad that it’s an unmistakable sign that she’s growing up…
Becky tried walking everywhere today – where ever she wanted to go she’d try walking first, and crawling second. She made it from the couch to the easel this afternoon!

With her new bag packed, Sarah headed off for her first day of Kindy today. When it came time to say goodbye this morning, I took a moment to remind her again that “Mummy’s not staying today, remember?” Sarah all but rolled her eyes at me, and with an exasperated “Okaaaaaaaaay!” she ran off to explore. And that was that.
In the afternoon it was much the same story really. I got a reasonably enthusiastic “Hello!!” as she tore straight past me to get to ‘Cole, who had come along for the all important first day. Typical.
Sarah will be going to Kindy every Monday now. She’s enrolled at the Centre at Sunnybank where I used to work and her teacher is a trusted friend – so I know Sarah is in good hands. She had an absolutely fabulous first day – she sat at the tables for her meals, and when it came to rest time, she curled up and went to sleep like she’d been going for years. I’m so proud of her!
