Here are a few happy snaps of the girls on Christmas morning. Sarah was excited to see that not only had Santa been, but Ahh Cole was coming over too – and was even more excited about what she found in the big blue box!
Zzzzzzzzzz x 2
It won’t last long, these moments never do. But I have a photo to prove that it happened!
For the first time ever, both my girls are asleep in the same room at the same time. Yeay!
“Oooo! Pretty! Twinkle Stars!”
says Sarah! This evening we all dressed on our Christmas shirts – and Sarah in the same dress that she’s fitted into for the past 3 years (though it is starting to get a little short…) and went out looking at Christmas lights.

Putting up the Christmas Tree
This morning Jim, Sarah, Becky and I put up the Christmas tree. After she worked out what was in the box, she was very excited – “Treeeee! Treeee! Treeeeeeee!” She set to work picking up the branches and handing them to Jim and I to attach to the trunk. She was SUCH a good helper!
Becky was barely 3 weeks old last Christmas so the hadn’t been very interesing for her. This year… a whole other matter! She crawled over and gave the tree a bit of a road test, pushing it along the ground and feeling the prickly leaves on the trunk.
Sarah’s been looking at lots of Christmas trees, especially at the shops and at Aunty Cassie’s house – so she knew what to do with the pretty, shiny things – where as Becky was far more interested in how they tasted.
And here’s our tree, all lit up :) Notice that the bottom of it is already starting to look a little bare… Becky’s discovered that if she works slowly and carefully enough, she can crawl over, sloooowly stand up and use two hands to pick baubles off the tree!
Sarah’s first nappy free day!
Yahooo!! It’s been a long time coming, but today Sarah managed her first dry, nappy free day. I’m so proud of her – and of myself for not completely loosing my mind in the process!
Becky the Birthday Fairy
We took these photos out in the garden the day after Becky’s party. The balloon is still floating in the lounge room! Becky the little Birthday Fairy. Or should that be, birthday imp? ;)
Uh Oh… you turn your back for 2 seconds…
By the time I realised what they’d done, it was pointless getting cranky. The damage was already done, Sarah wouldn’t have cared and Becky didn’t know that it was wrong!
So I let them play in it a bit longer, took some photos for the grandparents and then made sure the child lock on the pantry was properly secured!!
