Sarah and Becky’s Story!

Becky and Alex joined Jen and me on the Bubhub stall at the Brisbane Pregnancy, Babies and Children’s Expo. They were a great conversation starter! You could not have asked for a pair of better behaved, more charming and stunning babies :)

There was a photography place on the stall next to us. Jen had had some photos taken with them recently and was really, really, really, REALLY excited to see her boys up on the wall! I would have been too, it’s an absolutely amazing photograph.

As well as charming the crowds as they walked by, Becky and Alex also did some QA on the new BH pram ribbons and flyers.

We’ll be ready for steak in no time!!

This week Becky has almost mastered the feat of sitting alone. She can balance quite well and any tipping over is usually done in slow motion. I’ll get some photos up of it soon… but if I didn’t note this in the girl’s site now, I’d probably forget. Poor Becky… it’s a second child thing – as Ar Cole would say.

Just in time for her first swimming lesson on Saturday! It was a tough call finding baby swimwear in winter, but we bought this trendy set thanks to a BH friend.

Oh my goodness, teeth EVERYWHERE at the moment. Sarah’s last two molars have just come through… and so she’s not left behind, Becky’s first teeth have broken through too! Those white bumps on her bottom gum that have been coming and going since she was 3 months old today came and stayed. I’m happy and sad all at the same time. Happy ‘cos it’s another milestone… but sad that my baby really is growing up.

Sarah went for a ride in Grandpa’s new trailer!

Oh my goodness, I can’t believe my little baby is 6 months old already! Becky passed this milestone on Thursday, so we had a little party for her – and for her Grandad and Auntie ‘Cole who are also having birthdays very soon.

Sarah and I made a yummy vanilla cake in the morning and then everyone helped to decorate it with squiggles of coloured icing. Picasso eat your heart out! Sarah was very enthusiastic about blowing out the candles (we’ve been practicing!) and so we relit, sang and blew them out several times.

After the cake, Sarah decided it was time for balloon games. She would bring a balloon to either one of us and then run over to a spot next to her easel for the count down (or up…?) as we blew up the balloon – 1 2 3 4 5 6 8 9 10 :) and on GOOOOOOO!! The balloon was then launched and we cheered as it flew around the lounge room. Sarah then scurried off to fetch the balloon and the game would begin again. And again. And again :)

Last week Bubhub had its 4th birthday. Around Australia mums (and a few dads!) met up to have birthday cake, play with pink balloons and celebrate. Here are a few happy snaps that I took at the Brisbane morning tea at the museum :)

A friend of mine, Leeny, from Bubhub is a photographer. During the morning she took these these absolutely STUNNING photos of Becky. The last one is my favourite, it captures her impish little grin perfectly.
