Wow! What a Weekend. Ever the little social butterfly, Sarah went to not one, not two, but three birthday parties this weekend – one of which was her Party #3! She also managed to fit in some swimming and a trip to the 2007 Paper Festival in town with Nic and Nic to pick up some scrapbooking supplies.
On Saturday afternoon we were guests at Sarah Kate’s 1st Birthday afternoon tea at a beautiful park at McDowall. There was a big playground to explore. Sarah Kate’s cake was also a big “1″ made by her Nanna. It was covered in tiny pink marshmellows and white marshmellow frosting. Very, very yummy indeed!
Next was Thomas’ birthday dinner at the Glen Hotel. Sarah sat up at the table and munched on garlic bread while charming the people sitting around us – one of them who turned out to be the friend of a friend, and the principal bassoonist of the Brisbane Philharmonic! Small world, huh? It was a lovely evening, but Sarah was really pooped by then and fell asleep on Jim’s shoulder, even amidst the noise and excitement of the party. For his birthday, Sarah gave Thomas a copy of her favourite book “Where’s the Green Sheep?”
This morning we went into the RNA showgrounds for the Paper Crafts Festival, along with Auntie Cole, Nic & Erin, and Erin’s Auntie Kirsty and cousin Aliesha. What a crowd! We all picked up some very pretty papers and nifty little bits and pieces.
And finally, today was Sarah’s Party #3! Number one was a celebration with her Vysma relatives at Nanna and Grandpa’s house. The second one was last weekend with the Gooch side of the family. Party #3 was with her little friends at Lollipops Playland at Springwood.
She was joined by Sheridan, Charlotte, Bailey, Emily, Tim, Sarah, Elizabeth, Erin, Sam, Ty, their respective Mummies and Daddies, Nanna, Grandpa and, of course, Auntie Cole who would never pass up the opportunity to go wild with Sarah in a playground! I’ve put up some of the photos here, and the rest will be up in a photo albumby thingy like the Melbourne Photos soon. Or at least that’s my plan!
Sarah decided to play furniture removalist while we were there. I think she likes the noise and the fact that she can move and affect and object that’s much bigger than she is! She was utterly zonked by the time the party was over and fell asleep in the car on the way home :)
