Today Sarah and I went to Cervantes’ house at Park Ridge to help him celebrate his 5th birthday. Sarah nearly slept right through the party, but she woke up towards the end with some big smiles for the Birthday Boy. As usual, click on the little ones to see bigger versions.
Sarah loves being on her feet, being held up so she can see what’s going on around her. Originally due on the same date, Sarah Kate Stewart and Sarah Madison Victoria were born only 10 days apart. They regularly get together to discuss sleeping patterns, the most effective ways and the best times to demand room service, favourite music styles, fashion tips – and of course… SHOPPING!

On Monday Sarah had her very first taste of food! She’d recently started waking up during the night again (doh!), asking for a full course midnight meal and had been demanding room service every 2-3 hours during the day. She’s got good head control already too, so we decided it was time to have a go at good old Farex. I won’t say she was thrilled about the cereal (“What IS this weird stuff, Mamma?”) but the spoon and bib were fun to play with! Click on each of the little pictures to see a bigger one.
It was a big day out for little Sarah today! In the morning we went to a band gig at the Crackerjack Festival at Carina. Jim had to work, so we roped in Auntie ‘Cole and Uncle Andrew for babysitting duties. They did a good job, even got Sarah down for her midday nap while the band was playing. It was a pretty chilly morning, but Sarah was all rugged up in her fluffy purple jacket that Nanna made.
